I don't think anybody can argue that Riggs is one of the finest bred Shorthairs in history.  There is nothing more these breeders (sire/dam) could have done to up the ante with their titles.

About Riggs...   He was the EASIEST puppy to house train, he's extremely intelligent, he needs a DNA check because he's the calmest Shorthair you've ever lived with and he's everything you want in a hunting dog.  He is a fully finished gun dog.  He retrieves to the hand and was never force fetched.  He is professionally trained by Buck Henderson of Backyard Training Kennels.  Buck's exact words, "Talk about putting natural retrieving back into your program."

What do you get when you buy a puppy with super genetics?  You get a GREEN puppy ready to be trained!  Your dog is what YOU train it to be.  If you do nothing with your puppy, you will have a nothing puppy.  If that's the case, why do I need a puppy with great genetics?  I explain it like this...  First, remember an AKC Champion is a beautiful representation of our breed.  Regardless of what you do with your puppy, you will have a outright beautiful Shorthair.  Every single attribute of the sire/dam are passed onto the offspring.  Trainability, cooperation, desire to work, temperament etc.  Even though your puppy is green, ready to be trained, you are giving yourself the very best chance to get to your desired goals when you start with a well bred dog.

Our goal with Riggs is an AKC Grand Champion and Master Hunter.  We pledge to always continue the hard work like the breeders before us who make dogs like Riggs so exceptional.
